Birth, Newborn & Pregnancy
Breath-taking Birth Photography homebirth or hospital birth in Palmerston North, Wanganui, and I am happy to travel further afield.
Birth Photography is an intimate story of the very first moments of your baby’s life. It is the story of a woman’s strength, love and courage.
Often in the haze of labour many things are forgotten, but with your birth in photographs this will help you keep these precious memories. This is the true value of beautiful documentary birth photography.
Birth Photography is my favourite thing to Photograph, it is an absolute honour to be asked to be a part of the birth of a new child.
Recommendation from my a Birth Client, "I don't know how I could ever thank Amber enough for capturing all these precious moments. Truely unforgettable and im honoured I was the first person she experienced this with x I would highly recommend her to anyone"
Collections can be paid in instalments throughout your pregnancy. You can make weekly payments if you prefer or pay in a lump sum, this is totally up to you.
This includes one - two pre birth planning meetings where we discuss expectations and anything you do or do not want to have photographed, myself being on call 24hrs a day from 2 weeks before your due date to 2 weeks after. Your labour photographed from the active labour phase right up until those first moments being weighed, first cuddles, first hold with Daddy, first feed from Mum, and meeting the siblings. I will be at your labour if it takes 2 hours or 10 hours, no two labours are the same.
Our baby feet package includes a full set of images tastefully edited and supplied on USB along with a beautiful slideshow with no nudity that you can feel comfortable to share with your family and friends. There are other packages available with albums prints and complimentary photo sessions. Please get in contact for more information.
I like to shoot with a 'fly on the wall' approach. Ideally you won't notice me too much, I won't be in your face and want to capture everything 100% as it happens. This photojournalistic approach I feel is the best for Birth Photography. I will not use flash, I only use available light.
Just like a midwife I have talented backup photographer available if I become sick or can't make it for whatever reason.
